I'll have to check out Alexander, BUT

I just watched Oliver Stone's interview that took place at UC Berkeley a couple of weeks ago. It was quite a surprise to me that he talked about his last film, "Alexander." Those of you who follow news in the film industry know that Alexander was received so poorly(in US). The film did not get great reviews; it did so poorly in box office also. That certainly doesn't imply that the film is poorly done, and I briefly touched on that, when I wrote about "Life of David Gale", but there are other reasons why I did not watch this film when it came out. Quite frankly, I'm not a big fan of Oliver Stone. I liked several films he directed, but there is only one film that I can honestly say that I loved, which is, "Wall Street." I liked "The Doors". I liked "Platoon". I also liked "JFK" and "Nixon", but I always felt that some things are missing in his films except for "Wall Street"(and I'd like to explain why I feel that some things are missing in his films in the coming weeks). Because of that, I just did not expect anything from his latest, "Alexander." But after I watched the interview in which he seems so proud of "Alexander", I'll have to check out this film.
