Chasm between U.S. and Europe?

I was just reading some of reviews on The Incredibles; it's pretty interesting to read what other people think about movies, so I also did some search on reviews written The Bourne Supremacy next. More interesting.
Slivers of explanation and tons of extreme close-ups make this film almost incomprehensible, especially if you are unfortunate enough to be sitting in the front row of a packed theater. Bourne is running from place to place, beating up various people, but we’re never quite sure why. Once everything is resolved, the film goes on for another 30 minutes or so, culminating in a massive and useless car chase followed by some time set aside for repentance. (AGBLOG)
The whole point of the camerawork is that we, the audience, are much closer to Bourne this time, while we watched Jason Bourne from a distance as an observer in The Bourne Identity more or less, but I guess that not everyone gets it.
Some have suggested that Jason Bourne might be the new 007. Yeah, I’d buy that. While I thought Identity was intriguing, mysterious, and fun, Supremacy was just boring and gaudy and the camera work made me seasick. (AGBLOG)
Though I really liked both The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy, I agree that Jason Bourne won't be the new 007; however, I do not agree that it is because Jason Bourne is less entertaining or less appealing. There are number of reasons why, I think, Jason Bourne won't be the new 007, but one of bigger reasons is this. Jason Bourne's story is progressing, and the new chapter has more depth than the previous one, while 007 makes no progress as a human being. Because of that, it's almost inconceivable to imagine that Jason Bourne's story has ten more chapters, and consequently, the series won't be like 007.

The following review interests me also.
Great movie, not intellectually challenging, but a good time none the less. (Timbu :: Musings)
The construct of the film tells a pretty deep story. There is not a whole lot of dialogue, but it's all intentional. It's too bad that not everyone understands it.

The Bourne Supremacy is much closer to Europe, which facilitates to create more depth in Jason Bourne's character, and this is what puts The Bourne Supremacy a level above The Bourne Identity, yet quite a few people apparently do not get it. Is it just my imagination that this reflects chasm between U.S. and Europe?
