IMDB says that the movie's genre is Switchblade Romance. This is a spoiler, although as you watch the movie closely, there are indications that this is not a horror movie; this is a rather twisted romance movie.

Cécile De France as the leading actress

I was reading an article a while ago, and the article was saying that there are few actresses who can play the leading role AND appeal to both male and female audiences. Cécile De France does this in this movie. Her performance appeals to both male and female audiences, which, I think, is quite remarkable.

Actors and actresses were actually very tired

From what I understand, the movie is a low budget movie. Consequently, actors and actresses had tough schedule; they were actually very tired and frustrated when the movie was made. This helped to create "high tension" seen in characters in the movie.

Good DVD. A bunch of extra features plus director's commentary.
